Catan Steden en Ridders is een uitbreiding op het originele Catan-spel waarbij de focus meer ligt op strategie en ontwikkeling. Het spel voegt nieuwe elementen toe zoals barbaren en steden die verdedigd moeten worden, waardoor het spel nog uitdagender wordt. Pittige uitbreiding op Catan, waarin de spelers ridders inzetten om het eiland tegen binnenvallende barbaren te beschermen en hun steden tot metropolen uitbouwen. Om deze set te kunnen gebruiken is een exemplaar van het basisspel vereist. Het is ook mogelijk om Steden en Ridders met De Zeevaarders van Catan te combineren. Deze uitbreidingsset is uitsluitend te combineren met de nieuwste editie van het basisspel (de editie uit 2012 met de plastic onderdelen). Steden en Ridders bevat handelswaren zoals munten en papier, die je krijgt als een getal aan je stad wordt geworpen. Deze handelswaren heb je nodig om je steden op drie gebieden naar hogere niveaus uit te bouwen met als ultieme doel het creëren van een metropool, die liefst 4 punten waard is. Net als in het basisspel dobbel je aan het begin van je beurt, maar nu komt er een symbooldobbelsteen bij. Deze bepaalt of je een ontwikkelingskaart verdient of dat het barbarenschip dichterbij komt. Wie zich niet goed met ridders tegen binnenvallende barbaren wapent, kan zomaar een stad aan de barbaren verliezen. Steden & Ridders is een spannende uitbreiding op het basisspel, dat meer strategie en planning vereist. Het spel wordt er iets complexer door, maar daar krijg je een grote dosis speelplezier voor terug.

I am so, so sad these iSpecle Pull Out Spice Racks did not fit in my kitchen cabinets. I thought I had checked, but the most my cabinets can take with the nonadjustable shelves is 9", and these are a little over 9.5" tall at the metal rack side. They may not fit where I intended to use them, but they appear to be good quality and really help with organization. They look nice and slide in and out well, so I fully intend to find another way to use them. Maybe under the bathroom sink where smaller items also like to cluster.

Finally solved my spice cabinet chaos

I didn’t realize how much time I was wasting digging through my spice cabinet until I installed these. My spices used to be stacked behind one another, which meant every time I needed a specific seasoning, I had to move half the cabinet around just to find it. These racks completely solved that problem. What immediately appealed to me was the no-drill installation. I rent my home, so I’m always hesitant to make permanent changes to cabinets. They’ve made cooking more convenient, improved organization, and helped maximize storage space. For me, that’s an easy five-star product.
