Wat is er zo bijzonder aan de Santoku van BARE Cookware?

Snel, licht en behendig, als een ware kunstenaar snijdt dit mes door je groenten en door fijne vis. Het mes is gemaakt naar traditioneel Japans ontwerp, met een scherpe punt aan het lemmet en vlak snijprofiel. Uien, wortelen, knoflook en zelfs tomaten, zijn een koud kunstje voor dit elegante mes. Ook fijne vissoorten snijd je in de mooiste plakjes zonder moeite.

De naam Santoku (drie deugden in het Japans) zegt het al: dit mes is gemaakt om dobbelsteentjes, plakjes en fijn te snijden!

Het Wengéhouten handvat ligt stevig in de hand, het lemmet is mooi dun (2 mm) en extra wendbaar door dat het wat korter is (170 mm). Door de kromming in het blad leent het mes zich ook uitstekend voor hakken en tomaten heb je helemaal onder controle door de vlijmscherpe punt aan het lemmet.

Waar is de Santoku van BARE Cookware van gemaakt?

Het handvat is gemaakt van Wengéhout, het is hardhout en heeft een mooie verfijnde tekening. Het blad is gefabriceerd van oerdegelijk Duits staal met een geperst bergmotief, waardoor het staal nog harder wordt én etenswaren nauwelijks aan je lemmet blijven kleven.

Doordat het mes slechts 2 mm dik is en Convex geslepen is in een hoek van 15 graden, is het extreem scherp.

En dat allemaal ook nog eens CO2 negatief geproduceerd én met levenslange garantie op productiefouten. Dat wordt jaren lang snijplezier met een goed gevoel.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
