Joep Bevings album 'Liminal' is geïnspireerd op Guillaume Logé's boek Wild Renaissance. Als reactie op de groeiende onzekerheid en het verval van oude systemen, onderzoekt Beving de rol van de mens binnen een bredere, meer-dan-menselijke ecologie. Daarbij gaat hij op zoek naar verbinding met de natuur in plaats van er los van te zijn. Hij vertelt: "Het album beweegt zich tussen twee kanten. Soms probeer ik geluid te vormen en te verfijnen tot zijn puurste vorm. Op andere momenten lijkt de muziek vanzelf te stromen, te verschuiven, te vervagen en terug te keren naar stilte alsof het door iets natuurlijks wordt geleid. Het gaat minder om structuur en meer om verbinding, resonantie en verandering, dichter bij ecologie dan bij architectuur."

'Liminal' bestaat uit 15 solo-pianostukken, deels verweven met elektronica, en begeeft zich in een tussenruimte die het publiek meeneemt op een sfeervolle reis tussen hedendaagse composities en introspectieve klankpoëzie.
