De 'Summer Gold' is een relatief makkelijke plant. Hij gedijt goed op een plek met halfschaduw, waar de bladeren hun kleur het beste behouden en de kans op bladverbranding minimaal is. Zorg voor een goed doorlatende, lichtzure grond. Regelmatig water geven is belangrijk, vooral tijdens droge periodes, maar vermijd hierbij natte voeten. Deze Japanse Esdoorn is een blikvanger die weinig snoei vereist en een elegante touch geeft aan uw buitenruimte.
