De Aluminium Chair is een van de grote meubeldesigns van de twintigste eeuw. Charles en Ray Eames ontwierpen en ontwikkelden deze stoel in 1958 voor de privéwoning van een kunstverzamelaar in Columbus, VS. Voor de constructie vertrok het ontwerperskoppel van het principe van de zitschaal, in plaats van een paneel stof of leder dat tussen twee aluminiumprofielen wordt gespannen voor een stevige, maar elastische zitting. De stoel past zich aan het lichaam aan en is extreem comfortabel, zelfs zonder binnenbekleding.

I'm still reading it but its a great book. It makes me think about how much money is invested in keeping poor and people of color populations in prison. The prison industrial complex is no joke. This book provides the studies, chart and details of what I always thought. There's plenty of money to be made keeping the 'right people in prison' and finding new victims such as immigrants and school kids.
