They shunk enough to fit under my armpits and cover my bra, plus the shoulder length is not too long for my petite torso. I usually have to shorten any tank top straps by about 1/2-1 inch. These are not overly soft like a jersey blend. They are thick cotton, but 100% cotton. Only thing I've noticed so far that I don't care for is the slight bunching on the front of the straps, where it shrunk slightly odd, on a gray one I bought. Thanks amazon for offering these!

I looked at the general comment on this top and it stated frequently returned due to loose fit. My measurements are close to size xl so I figured if they run large/loose then they would fit me fine. My bust is 46 1/2" and I probably should have gone xxl. The tops are snug across my breast and I will have to be adjusting so it does not pull a gap at the side of the arm pit area. However the top is not too snug, also not loose throughout the rest of the body so don't know how I would feel about a size larger. The quality is nice, medium weight cotton. No see through and no falling in creases. I hope washing these in cold and line drying will keep them from shrinking. I will keep these because I do like the quality and length but have not decided if I will order more or not.
