OddBird Blanc de Blancs is geen gewone alcoholvrije bubbel. Deze Franse mousserende wijn is gemaakt van voornamelijk Chardonnay en wordt volledig op traditionele wijze gevinifieerd, waarna pas de alcohol voorzichtig wordt verwijderd. Het resultaat? Een karaktervolle, gastronomische wijn met finesse, elegantie en diepgang – zonder ook maar iets in te leveren op smaak.

Wijngaarden en regio

De druiven zijn afkomstig uit de Languedoc, waar kalkrijke bodems en verkoelende invloeden van de Middellandse Zee zorgen voor frisse zuren en aroma’s met spanning. De percelen worden bewust vroeg geoogst om de natuurlijke fraîcheur van Chardonnay te vangen, essentieel voor de stijl die OddBird nastreeft: droog, levendig en zonder restsuikers.

Vinificatie en rijping

OddBird Blanc de Blancs wordt eerst volledig vergist en gerijpt zoals een traditionele Crémant. Pas daarna vindt de de-alcoholisatie plaats via een geavanceerde methode onder vacuüm, bij lage temperatuur. Hierdoor blijven de delicate aroma’s en textuur behouden. De wijn wordt gebotteld met een lichte carbonatie om de verfijnde mousse te creëren die zo kenmerkend is voor deze cuvée.

100% Chardonnay.

Proefnotities en serveersuggesties

Deze Blanc de Blancs is bleek goudgeel met een fijne, aanhoudende bubbel. In de neus herken je limoenbloesem, groene appel, amandel en natte steen. De smaak is strak en mineraal, met een precieze zuurgraad en lange, droge afdronk. Serveer gekoeld op 6℃ tot 8℃ als alternatief voor Champagne bij oesters, ceviche of een salade met venkel, appel en walnoot.

I completely recommend this to anyone who is a person who has a hard time finding a really good pillow.

This pillow — after dialing in the right amount of shredded foam — has greatly helped my sore neck. Initially, I had to remove some foam.
