De TECH 4 EVO hoofdremcilinder is vervaardigd uit een blok 2014 T6 aluminium en bevat een nieuwe zuiger, een geoptimaliseerde zwevende kop, een herziene nok, een tweede geleidering en drie nieuwe hendels, die een nauwkeurige, persoonlijke controle garanderen voor elke rijder. Het draaipunt van de hendel rust op twee ringvormige lagers die zorgen voor een soepele, duurzame werking, terwijl de stelknoppen het mogelijk maken om de aanval en bescherming aan te passen aan individuele voorkeuren.

DeX2-remklauw, een standaard Flat-Mount 34mm remklauw, is uit één stuk gefreesd voor meer stijfheid en minder gewicht. De twee 22 mm phenolharszuigers (onderdeelnummer HBSP235) leveren het vermogen dat nodig is voor lichte downcountry- en XC-toepassingen, terwijl ze uitstekende prestaties leveren bij hoge temperaturen. Deze configuratie biedt nauwkeurige modulatie en controle, ideaal voor lange ritten en gevarieerd terrein.

De klassieke slang met een diameter van 5 mm en een lengte van 2 m zorgt voor een eenvoudige, betrouwbare installatie. De rem wordt geleverd met twee soorten remblokken: Racing (groen) voor maximale prestaties en All Conditions (rood) voor veelzijdig gebruik, zodat hij eenvoudig kan worden aangepast aan elke rijstijl en terreinconditie.

I bought this watch to replace a similar model because the band broke. I see this is a recurrent problem in many other reviews. However, I liked the watch enough to buy it again anyway. I found the new model easy to set, being fairly intuitive. So far it keeps perfect time. I use this watch mainly as a travel watch, and loved the dual time zone function. I am pleased that the newer model now has the ability to set 3 times zones instead of 2, which is an added bonus. The only con I see at this point is the flimsy strap. Unfortunately, the strap on this model is even thinner than on the previous one, and I wonder how long it will last. Also I wonder about the battery length. I think these watches may have been sitting around a long time. The setting showed 2012. I am afraid much of the battery life of the original battery may have already been used up and the battery may need replacing early. Only time will tell. The watch fits my small wrist fine and it is a little more attractive than the old model. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the band problem.

Fine for a man (with skinny wrists)

I have an older mens ironman which has gotten a little beat up and needs replacing. The band is much longer than I need. The metal clasp sits off-center on the underside of my wrist, closer to the part of my wrist which curves around to the front. The too-long strap sometimes flops around and catches on things. I couldn't find a smaller-band mens version, so I tried this "womens" watch (picking the most manly-looking one, of course). I like it better. The band fits my wrist much better, with the metal band in the middle and no flop. I also like that the watch is lighter and the face and band are smaller and less bulky, so it is less noticeable when I'm wearing it (cycling weight weenies will appreciate this). The face is still large enough to be easily legible and contains all of the same great features as my mens ironman watch, plus the newer versions now have an hourly chime, nice! Other info: my wrist is ~17.5cm or ~7.0" around. On this watch, I use the 6th out of 9 slots on the band. On my mens ironman, I use the 3rd out of 9 slots. Weight: this one = 28g, mens = 39g. Pics show comparison of my prior mens ironman with this new "womens" ironman. Photo order is confusing (couldn't figure out how to change that). They are: (1) side-by-side, mens on left, (2) mens band (wider and clasp is off-center on my wrist, end of band hangs over the edge of my wrist -- too long for me -- catches on things), (3) womens band (less wide, clasp is more centered on my wrist and end does hang over edge of my wrist), (3) womens watch (smaller, and looks new), and (5) mens watch, looking a little beat up.

Watch holds up in saltwater!

I bought this watch to use for my trip to the Galapagos Islands. I read two reviews that the watch does not hold up in salt water. I went snorkeling in the ocean 6 times, about 45 minutes each time. The watch did not leak. I did take precautions by keeping the watch under my rash guard and lowering myself slowly into the water. I also rinsed off my watch each time I snorkeled. I also bought this watch for the multi time zone feature by saving the time on the west coast, east coast and Galapagos time since I cannot change the time on my Fitbit until I land in an airport. I did not use any other features of the watch because I generally use my phone or Fitbit for an alarm or timer. The only complaint I have is that Timex now discourages changing the battery by the consumer. I changed the battery myself on my old Ironman watch. The new Ironman watch is fitted with triangular head screws. So I will have to purchase screwdrivers with triangular heads when it comes time to change the battery.
