Unlock the potential of your work-life balance with 'The Case for a Four Day Week.' This insightful book challenges traditional work norms and offers a compelling argument for a shorter workweek without sacrificing productivity. Experts in economics and sociology present a strategy that reimagines the workplace, proposing that shifting to a four-day week can enhance productivity while supporting the well-being of workers. With practical pathways outlined for businesses and policymakers, this book is a critical resource for anyone advocating for labor rights or improved workplace conditions. Not only does this revolutionary approach advocate for a balanced workweek, but it also aims to reduce stress, build stronger families, and promote gender equality in the distribution of work. As we navigate the post-pandemic landscape, adopting a four-day workweek could lead to job creation and economic resilience, making it a must-read for business leaders, HR professionals, and employees alike. The authors emphasize sustainable practices that contribute to environmental conservation alongside the social benefits of shorter work hours. Description:
Not so long ago, people thought that a ten-hour, six-day week was normal; now, it™s the eight-hour, five-day weekWill that soon be history too?
In this book, three leading experts argue why it should be. They map out a pragmatic pathway to a shorter working week that safeguards earnings for the lower-paid and keeps the economy flourishing. They argue that this radical vision will give workers time to be better parents and carers, allow men and women to share paid and unpaid work more equally, and help to save jobs “ and create new ones “ in the post-pandemic era. Not only that, but it will combat stress and illness caused by overwork and help to protect the environment.
This is essential reading for anyone who has ever felt they could live and work a lot better if all weekends were three days long.

Flimsy
Color: Oak, Size: 30"W x12"D - 3P
These shelves feel and look very flimsy. They’re hollow, and while the description says they’re made of wood, they feel thinner and less strong than particle board. The brackets are sturdy, and the instructions are clear. They’re easy to install. But, at least for the 12” deep shelves, the bracket poles are shorter than the depth of the shelves, so the shelves sag at the front. Pretty disappointing.

These are the perfect size. A little long cumbersome putting them together. They look very nice for a small nightstand
