The deeper groove allows easy crocheting and provides a beautiful finish. The longer cushion grip enables users to hold it comfortably with a thumb rest on the front side and a grip extending to the back side where the forefinger rests to help hold the hook without undue stress. 

Its unique selling point is the adorable printed cartoon that is designed to aid in the child's curiousity, creative urge, and concentration. These characters were based of kids' drawings. They are printed on the hooks to make it easier to instruct the hand movements using the drawings as directional prompts. 

This hook can be used for pen-grip or knife-grip crocheters. 

Each set comes with one Etimo Grand-chan hook, a yarn caddy, plastic needles, and a small skein of yarn to start with.
