Have you ever had to witness someone close to your suffer? Did it leave you feeling helpless? This acrylic painting was inspired after visiting a loved one who suffers from Parkinson's disease. Amidst the sorrow of the incurable illness and the mourning my heart experiences witnessing his struggle, on this particular day, there was a moment of joy - a moment to cling to. This moment took me back to a happier time and brought me to tears. There is joy to be found in the mourning, if only we will look. Back in my art studio, my canvas became the resting place for these two emotions to co-exist.

What makes this special?

I use professional grade acrylics which boast quality pigment saturated paints with optimal strength and coverage. For the utmost durability and longevity, the painting is protected with 100% acrylic polymer varnish. Varnishing adds a satin sheen while increasing the brightness and color saturation and offering protection from UV light damage. The artwork is ready to hang. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by artist.

 

All photos capture the color and detail as accurately as possible, but note that there may be some slight color shifts between photo and actual painting. Painting is signed on the surface and on the back in graphite and varnished.

Glowy but not sure about the spf
Color: Glistening Bronze
My first impression was that this works more like a basic body shimmer than anything else. The Glistening Bronze shade gives a noticeable glow, especially on arms and shoulders. It spreads easily and adds a warm shimmer in the light, but the overall effect feels pretty simple and more cosmetic than skincare focused. In use, the oil blends in smoothly and feels lightweight on the skin. It does leave a bit of moisture behind, similar to a light body oil, and the shimmer shows up well outdoors. The bronze tone is fairly deep, so it seems better suited for medium to darker skin tones or anyone who wants a stronger bronzed glow. The product mentions SPF 45, but there is very little information about the sun protection side of it, so I personally treat this more like a shimmer oil than a sunscreen. Overall, this is fine if you are mainly looking for a body shimmer that adds glow and a bronzed look. It does the job of giving skin a subtle shine and a bit of hydration, but it does not stand out as anything particularly special. I would recommend it mostly for people who want a simple shimmering body oil rather than relying on it for sun protection.

Glamorize your sunny day outing with this shimmer suntan protection

This body shimmer oil has a natural glow luminizer in it. It has an SPF of 45 for sun protection factor. This went on smoothly and easily and was light and did not feel greasy. This Oil Definitely Glitters!

I really wanted to love this shimmer oil, but it's unfortunately not my favorite. I love that it has SPF! That is a big win for me! The oil is also very good at hydrating my skin, which I appreciate. My problem comes with the shimmer of the product. The glitter in it is too big for my liking. With it being called a shimmer oil, I expected tiny glitter that softly shimmers like shimmer powders, lotions, and oils usually do. But this stuff glit-ters! And because it's bigger sized glitter, it's a lot easier to see when it gets all over everything like clothes, furniture, spouses and children. If the shimmering glitter in this was just smaller and softer, I would love this for summer time to use on my legs and arms. But it's unfortunately just not my favorite and I don't think I'll be using it anymore.
