De zeventigjarige Louise kijkt vanuit haar appartement uit op de Amstel. Aan de oever ligt een plastic zandbak in de vorm van een blauwe schelp te wachten tot de plantsoenendienst hem op komt halen. Op een avond ziet ze hoe iemand de zandschelp in het water probeert te duwen en ze haast zich ernaartoe.
Eenmaal bij de oever, is de persoon verdwenen en drijft de schelp de rivier op. Louise bedenkt zich geen moment, duikt in het water en zwemt erachteraan om te voorkomen dat-ie naar de bodem zinkt. Halverwege ontdekt ze tot haar schrik dat er iets in de schelp beweegt. Ze neemt een beslissing die haar zal terugwerpen op zaken waarvan ze dacht dat ze die allang achter zich had gelaten.
Aan de oever van de rivier is een roman over loslaten en de angst voor verlies. Een verhaal over de keuzes die we zelf maken en de keuzes die voor ons gemaakt worden.

Decent MagSafe phone mount
This was just an average MagSafe. Build quality is ok. The material, especially the plastic parts, feel cheap. The design is nothing to brag about. It can be mounted anywhere along the edge of the screen. Although it's marketed as for the Telsa Model 3/Y, It can be used with any cars with a tablet that fit's the dimension. I actually had problems installing it because I have a screen protector on and the added thickness resulting it the mount barely being able to squeeze it. Note the design prevents adjustments in certain mount positions as the end of the slider will run up against the lock nut. Magnetic strength is acceptable although I question the stability when the slider is at it's maximum extension with a phone mounted. Overall, it's perfectly functional but I would prefer something a bit more refined and minimalist.
