It’s sleek design not only looks great but is strong enough to safely winch your car onto a tow truck or get towed trackside if the need arises. Our BMW specific CNC machined stem and loop is made of 4130 steel. The stem is black zinc coated for corrosion resistance. The loop is powder coated Blue (Red, Black, and Gray are available). This is not a universal tow hook. The stem was specifically designed for the BMW and the length was carefully determined to fit the rear bumper. A proper front tow hook to match is also available. (p/n 450-502001-L) Both the stem and bolt threads are pre-coated with Vibra-tite threadlocker. This keeps your tow hook from loosening due to vibration. The special threadlocker is designed to remain flexible, removable, and reusable.

Noticed the only negative reviews were because the hooks would not fit and was sort of concerned about that, but I figured it might be one of those things where it’s the person’s fault not the product. Sure enough it was. The hook fits, yea you have to push it in there with a slight bit of force, but it definitely does fit. What those people don’t realize is that by design the hooks are like that to keep a firm hold onto the tray itself. I found it funny how mad people were about that when really it’s very very simple to make it work. Nice product sticks well, seems sturdy.

Good product, lousy instructions

This is a good product with terrible instructions. I’ve used this adhesive strip before so I know how to install the basket & how to remove the strip. To get a snug fit position one of the basket's vertical wires in the middle of one of the horizontal bars then press down hard until you hear it snap into place, it’s now snug & will not tip over. To remove the adhesive strip I used a putty knife & wiggled it underneath the strip until I had loosened & lifted enough of it to get a good grip & pull the rest off. Mine is installed on a ceramic tile back splash not in the sink so this method did not damage the tile, can't say what it would do to stainless steel. I'm a 72 y/o woman with arthritis, if I can get the adhesive off anyone can.
