The franchise that was the Cats originated in 1946 and changed their name three times. First, they were the Owls in 1946, then the Colts in 1947, and finally the Cats for 1948-49. Their accumulative record over those four season was 187-312, a winning percentage of only .375. The 1949 season would be Clarksville’s last with an affiliated minor league baseball team.
