A Record of the Explorations and Ascents, Triumphs and Tragedies on the Northwest's Greatest Mountain

Originally published in 1971, The Challenge of Rainier is a classic in mountaineering reference and literature, long considered the definitive work on the climbing history of Mount Rainier.

Author Dee Molenaar covers geology, glaciology, and climate; early climbs dating before 1900; the pioneering efforts on over 35 routes in winter and summer; notable summit climbs; mountain tragedies on the steep slopes; and the guides who have led summit seekers over the years. For the 40th anniversary edition new information includes more recent ascents, rescues, mountain guides, and climbing trends; updated statistics through 2010; and a new foreword by famed climber (and former Rainier guide) Ed Viesturs.

¿Snake oil? At least it worked for me

Very cheap compared to buying it locally, here in my country. Used the Ceratec with the Leuchtlauf High Tech oil. 143K miles on my 2.5 mk6 Jetta. It started to make some tappet/lifters noise, very minimal but it was there. As soon as I started the engine, and about 30 minutes in , I could clearly hear the difference. How I heard the difference? With the hood closed now I can barely hear the engine, unless I put my ear close to the grille. Now I only hear the working injectors. Totally recommended. Can’t speak about gas consumption, I’ll have to drive 500-1000 miles to speak confidently. Recommended for giving older engines a longer lifespan. Update: After 15 days or so, and about 150-200miles later, I noticed my Jetta’s engine feels lighter and smoother. No placebo effect, it’s just there. Since I bought two Ceratec bottles, I used the second bottle on a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport with the Mivec 2.0 engine. These engines are quite noisy, specially the injection noises, and I had a very concerning lifters ticking. I did my oil change yesterday, and today the ticking is gone, all I did was use Liquimolys engine flush, Valvoline oil and the Ceratec. I’ll post an update if I get better fuel economy and smoothness on my Mitsu.

    Durable and well fitting
Durable and well fitting. I drive a Honda Accord 2014 and when the under engine covers started falling off I used these to replace the ones that came off. They work well and the prying tool made replacing the retainers easier.

This product has many different sizes making it easy to fit clips in other parts of the car.
I was working on my grandson Honda. It was missing the plastic clips to hold the fender liners in place. This worked great and helped hold the fender in place. I used the puller tool many times on other plastic parts on the car.
