Harnessing the power of the 000 body and a cutaway, the Martin OMC-X2E Ziricote Special is an outstanding addition to the brand's famous X Series. This limited-edition model brings Martin's versatile Orchestra body style that balances style, comfort, playability, and sound for an acoustic-electric guitar that does just about everything.
Touching down to hit that comfortable 000 sweet spot, the OMC-X2E Ziricote Special is designed with an Orchestra-style body shape and cutaway for players who prioritize comfort and higher fret access. This all begins, however, with a solid sapele top fitted with a scalloped X-Brace pattern. Providing a punchy midrange and bolstered by the richness of the ziricote HPL (high-pressure laminate) back and sides, this top contributes to an overall varied, expressive, and captivating sonic experience.
In addition to a versatile sonic palette, this X Series model drops in with fine playability as driven by a Performing Artist neck profile with a high-performance taper. Twenty frets lay things out easily while a hand-applied neck finish solidifies the experience in the fretting hand as firm yet fluid. Smooth trips from high to low registers are made seamless with the neck's combination of design elements. Onboard, this experience goes even further with a compensated white TUSQ saddle and satin-finished chrome enclosed gear tuning machines – two features that make stringing and playing solidly sturdy experiences. What's more, Martin E1 electronics appear in this X Series entry for bringing the rich tones of this Ziricote Special to the stage alongside its included softshell case.
