Starting with a lightweight, 2-piece alder body, the '65 Strat shape with deep '57-style contours provides a familiar, comfortable feel. The finish is an Aged Olympic White with the Journeyman Relic treatment. Dings and nicks—just barely down to the wood—are scattered throughout the body finish with some character-building checking all around.
The guitar's maple neck, rift sawn for stability and resonance, features a 1959 "D" profile, offering a comfortable grip across its range from .810" at the 1st fret to .950" at the 12th. This neck design pairs wonderfully with the AAA round-lam rosewood fingerboard. A compound radius of 9.5" to 12" ensures the Stratocaster maintains a comfortable feel for chording near the nut and a flatter profile for easy bending and soloing up the neck. The back of the neck is taken down to the wood, which, while not typical of the Journeyman relic process, adds unique flair and takes playability up a notch.
Taking the sonic capabilities of this Strat to the next level, three hand-wired Strat Dual Mag II pickups offer a spectrum of tonal colors. Control your tone and dynamics like never before, utilizing the master volume, master tone, blender knob, and 5-way selector. The 1/2 Blender wiring lets you blend in the neck pickup into positions 1 and 2 for additional tonal possibilities, while the Tone-Saver ensures your highs are retained even when the volume is reigned in.
