How to Install Brother TN227 Toner Cartridges

  1. Turn on your Brother color laser printer and open the front cover.
  2. Pull out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly for the color being replaced.
  3. Press the release lever and remove the old toner cartridge from the DR-223CL drum unit.
  4. Take the new compatible Brother TN227 cartridge out of the packaging.
  5. Gently rock the cartridge side to side 5–6 times to distribute toner evenly.
  6. Remove all protective covers, seals, and pull tabs before installation.
  7. Insert the new toner cartridge into the matching color drum slot until it clicks into place.
  8. Slide the green tab on the drum unit from side to side several times to clean the corona wire, then return it to the home position.
  9. Reinstall the drum and toner assembly into the printer.
  10. Repeat for black, cyan, magenta, and yellow as needed, then print a test page.
If printed output looks light, streaky, or uneven, remove the affected toner cartridge, gently rock it side to side again, reinstall it, and print another test page.

Very soft leather. Not much arch support and I don't know if an insert would fit well. I am between an 11.5 and 12 in most brands (actual foot length from heel to tip of big toe is 11 and 1/8 inches). These fit perfectly in a 12 with room for comfort. An 11.5 probably would fit but snugly. I do not agree that they should be sized down at least based on my experience. If you can get these for under eighty dollars like I did they are well worth it. I'll be wearing them all summer.
