The Martin GPCE Inception is a new addition to Martin's ever-evolving arsenal of player-centric guitars, boasting features that make it a visually stunning instrument that plays as nicely as it looks.

The body of this guitar is constructed from European spruce, a dense and lightweight wood that excels at conducting vibrations. The strength-to-weight ratio of spruce allows for the free resonance of the guitar, producing clear and defined notes, complemented by 3-piece maple/black walnut back and maple sides. As the spruce top vibrates, it efficiently transfers energy to the guitar's body, furthered by its skeletonized bracing, a Martin innovation which is scalloped more deeply than normal to provide even further resonance to this instrument. The neck of the GPCE is cut from Black Walnut, and features a fingerboard also crafted from black walnut which is slightly less dense than rosewood. The fingerboard offers a total of 20 frets and a scale length of 25.4 inches.

A standout feature of this guitar is its incorporation of the LR Baggs Anthem Tru-Mic system. This system revolves around a super lightweight microphone strategically placed inside the guitar's body, capturing vibrations effectively. The Anthem system includes the Baggs Element, an undersaddle transducer that complements the Tru-Mic, delivering a powerful one-two punch microphonic quality that enhances bass response and detail. The onboard system features volume and blend controls, a phase switch, and a battery indicator discreetly located just inside the bass side of the soundhole, making sure not to impede on the aesthetic of the guitar. The Anthem also incorporates noise-canceling technology to help eliminate feedback.

With a stunning Amber Fade Sunburst color, a silky-smooth satin finish on both the neck and body allows the GPCE to offer a playing experience with minimal resistance to the fretting hand's movements. Gold open gear tuning machines, black walnut bridge, and a tortoise pickguard make this guitar pop visually, and it comes with an included molded hardshell case.
