Explore the groundbreaking insights of 'Ideology and International Institutions' by Erik Voeten, a pivotal work published by Princeton University Press in 2021. This book dives deep into the complex interplay between ideology, political conflict, and the functioning of international institutions in today's global order. At the core of this analysis is the assertion that the liberal international institutional framework is under significant threat from illiberal states and domestic upheavals within liberal democracies. Voeten presents a compelling theoretical foundation, revealing how multilateralism has historically been intertwined with ideological divides. With a fresh perspective, the author not only theorizes but also quantifies the ideological positioning of states over the last seventy-five years, offering readers an empirical understanding of how ideology drives the composition and design of international institutions. The book meticulously examines the role of ideological struggles in shaping membership decisions, institutional frameworks, and the dynamics of militarized conflicts. Furthermore, it addresses the widespread rise of populism and other ideological challenges to the prevailing liberal order, making it an essential read for those looking to grasp the nuances of contemporary international relations.
'Ideology and International Institutions' is indispensable for scholars, policymakers, and anyone interested in the intersection of ideology and global governance. Enhance your understanding of world politics and the ideological factors that influence international relations with this landmark work.

Great weird horror
Format: Kindle
The Department of Truth: The End of the World is the first trade volume of this series, collecting issues 1-5. I don’t want to get into spoilers, but I enjoyed seeing a world building element I was familiar with in fantasy be applied to conspiracy theories. I also loved the art. It’s really stunning! I almost want to buy a print edition in addition to my Kindle/ComiXology edition because it’s so beautiful. I found the plot and concept compelling and can’t wait to read volume 2.

meh...
Format: Paperback
collecting the entire universe, so obviously i picked this up. i absolutely LOVE the stuff written by Ryan Parrott, but it seems like the some of the side stories were just thrown into the universe for the sake of 'diversity'. identity politics is injected into BOTH of the books in this series (that i have read so far... im somewhere in the middle of year two) that were written by Melissa Flores, for no reason except projection, propaganda and forced diversity quotas. the book isnt even an extreme offender or anything, but the 'community' has caused so many problems, in ever facet of society that they have attached themselves to, that i (and so many others) now see any of it as huge red flag... and that is sad, because i was raised to have the EXACT opposite viewpoint, and i did, for well over 30 years (just turned 40).
