A heavily contoured Okoume body with deep cutaways is undeniably comfortable to play in any stance or sit-down setting. The 5-piece Jatoba/Walnut neck is primed to make playing up and down the rosewood fingerboard the easiest it can be. You might even think you were playing a 4-string bass if you were blindfolded, thanks to the neck shape and thinner-than-average nut for a 5-string. One of the coolest features happens to be the Accu-cast B505 bridge, which has adjustable saddles for variable string spacing. So if you need to make a few setup changes from factory spec, you can do so with ease.
Two Bartolini BH2 humbuckers are the output providers for the Ibanez SR505E Standard 5-String bass. They are well responsive to attack and provide plenty of tight low-end frequency and lots of punchy mid-range. All wired up to an active 3-band EQ with loads of tonal versatility and options, these Bartolini pickups are an incredible pairing with this already well-rounded instrument.
