The Royal Canadian Mint proudly celebrates the Canadian experiencewith its exciting new Canoe Across Canada series.
The reverse design by Canadian artist Greg Banning features an outdoorsman and his dog navigating the rapids in British Columbia's Fraser River. The image centers around the man and his husky, who are viewed from thefront. The man paddles on the right side of the canoe while the dog leans toward the left. In the foreground, a rainbow trout has leapt out of the water just in front of the canoe. The churning river is flanked on both sides by a rocky shoreline giving way torising mountain sides of coniferous forest.
