A renowned pianist, composer, and musical innovator, Palmieri, the younger brother of Charlie Palmieri, has shaped Salsa and Cuban music for over 70 years. A protégé of Tito Rodriguez and the founder of La Perfecta, his groundbreaking band, Palmieri revolutionized Latin music with their signature sound. Fusing influences from his mentors, his Bronx upbringing, and the Soul-Funk pulse of Harlem, Palmieri redefined the “New York Latin Sound” for the disco era.
