The best-selling duo of all time, Brooks & Dunn, announced Nashville’s best kept secret today with the news that their forthcoming collaboration project REBOOT will be available April 5 (Arista Nashville/Sony Music Nashville).

Brooks & Dunn hit the studio for the first time together since 2007 joined by an eclectic cast of country’s hottest rising talent and producer Dann Huff to remake 12 timeless Brooks & Dunn hits. Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, LANCO, Ashley McBryde, Brothers Osborne, Luke Combs, Midland, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, Tyler Booth and Kacey Musgraves call the shots on the all-new arrangements of face-to-face collaborations with Brooks & Dunn.

What emerged from a year of top-secret sessions ranges from edgy-rock intensity to heartbroken EDM, and from retro honky-tonk fun to the exposed nerves of a reflective acoustic ballad.

2019 release, the first album in 12 years from the country music duo. Reboot features some of the hottest stars in contemporary music in duets with Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn on some of the superstar duo's biggest hits. Includes collaborations with Kacey Musgraves, Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, Lanco, Ashley McBryde, Midland, Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi and Tyler Booth. The project is Brooks & Dunn's first full length album since 2007's Cowboy Town. The duo famously announced in 2009 that they were splitting up, after more than 20 years together. After Brooks & Dunn's split, both men embarked on solo careers. The duo reunited in 2015 for a Las Vegas residency, along with their good friend Reba McEntire.

“This whole experience has been humbling to say the least. What a cool rush to hear somebody do one of your tunes in a unique way, and it still holds up,” said Ronnie Dunn. “That’s the greatest compliment you can get as an artist. People used to ask us all the time about the legacy we wanted to leave, and it’s honestly just that – you hope the music stands up over time. This is the first opportunity we’ve had to run it up a new flagpole...and it really flies.”

“They’re making their own music,” Kix Brooks adds about the REBOOT guest list. “But just like we did, they still remember and respect the music they grew up with. It makes you feel good that these acts were inspired by us in some small way."

It was a chance meeting between Luke Combs and the duo’s long-time manager that sparked the whole project, when he had explained what the duo meant for his own music. “Brand New Man” offers a brawny, almost gleeful rendition that is a revelation, baptized with a splash of high-energy nostalgia. In similar fashion, Kane Brown took a faithful approach to the spiritually-charged “Believe.” With its breathtaking emotional beauty, Brown tapped into something so genuine it must be heard to be truly comprehended.

“Brooks & Dunn’s music absolutely had a tremendous impact on me,” said Combs. “To me, they invented that foot stomping, driving sound. And it’s so cool that this has turned into such an awesome album, with artists that actually grew up listening to Brooks & Dunn. Their music was so influential to us that having the chance to come in and bounce ideas off the guys and sing with them in the studio was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

“I’ve never really sung in the studio with someone else, especially not with someone whose voice is as good as Ronnie’s,” said Kane Brown. “For him to be looking at me on the other side of the glass, and both of us singing, it was just awesome. It felt like we just got comfortable around each other, so we were really able to kill it.”

With 20 No. One hits stretching back to 1991, two GRAMMY awards, dozens of ACM and CMA honors and a discography counting more album sales than any duo in history – regardless of genre – Brooks & Dunn’s influence on today’s country has never been in question. Hits like “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “My Maria” and “Believe” have propelled the duo to more than 30 million albums sold, with the New York Times heralding "together they helped drive the power-country era of the early-to-mid 1990s and continued to benefit from the sea change in the genre they helped initiate right through their most recent albums.” Their original “Merle Haggard meets The Rolling Stones” vibe made them progressive stars in their own right. In 2014, the duo announced their reunion along with long-time friend, Reba McEntire, for a residency called “Together in Vegas” at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, which received rave reviews and continues to be extended including more shows throughout this year.

Beautiful Acacia Boards That Actually Feel Premium and Thoughtfully Made
I’ve gone through a lot of wooden cutting boards over the years, and these immediately stood out as feeling much higher quality than most sets in this price range. The acacia wood has a really rich, attractive grain pattern and the boards arrived smooth, solid, and well finished with no rough spots, cracks, or cheap “composite wood” feel. What initially caught my attention was the fact that these are marketed as non-toxic and free from mineral oil. Most people don’t think much about what wooden kitchen products are treated with, but I appreciated that these use a natural blend instead of petroleum-based mineral oil. The boards had a very clean, natural wood smell out of the box instead of that chemical/oily smell some cheaper boards have. The three-size setup is honestly perfect for daily kitchen use. I find myself constantly rotating between them: the large board for meal prep and meats the medium board for vegetables the small one for fruit, cheese, garlic, herbs, etc. The engraved food icons are also a surprisingly nice touch because they help keep things organized and reduce cross contamination without looking tacky. A few other things I really liked: They’re lightweight enough to move around easily but still feel sturdy - The wood is gentle on knives - The groove catches juices well - They look nice enough to double as serving boards - Packaging was clean and plastic-free/minimal Like any real wood cutting board, you absolutely need to: - hand wash only - dry them after use - occasionally recondition the wood If you expect dishwasher-safe convenience, these probably aren’t for you. But if you want attractive, natural wood boards that feel healthier and more intentional than cheap plastic boards, these are excellent. Overall, these feel like a genuinely thoughtful kitchen product rather than generic mass-produced boards with a trendy “eco” label slapped on them. Very happy with them so far.

Beautiful in appearance and quality
I've been using these for several months and I love them. They're sturdy and great quality, not to mention so beautiful. They do of course scratch up as you use your knife on them which is to be expected with wood but I plan to give them a little sanding soon and an oiling with the oil they provided. I would definitely recommend.

Ignore the bad reviews, read mine!
Pictures don’t make you think much, but in-person these are beautiful and well made. I’ve been trying to replace everything with cleaner safer alternatives. Honestly I love everything this brand offers and stands for! Some things to think about when you see other peoples negative reviews. Since these cutting boards are all around safe and clean with no toxic coating’s that most have to make them last longer, they do require more maintenance, when people don’t follow that maintenance you get a warped or cracked board. Also they are not meant to last as long as your plastic one from Walmart, they should be replaced more often. Luckily for a pack of 3, and I’ll say again that are TRULY non toxic, they are super reasonably priced! For what they offer I would even pay more for these. They do also come with instructions on how to care for them! So if you are the type of person to leave things dirty, or wet in the sink, these are probably not for you. For anyone who doesn’t mind taking the extra minute these are a must (literally a quick wipe, rinse and hand dry, it’s nothing). Gives me a breathe of fresh air to know I’m using safe, and clean products.
