The stock fan system on the 1989-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0L is an archaic design that’s powered by the vehicle’s engine. It adds a lot of weight and drag to the engine, sucking horsepower and torque just to get it moving. Once it does start moving, the amount of air it moves is dependent on the engine speed. If the engine isn’t turning fast, neither is the fan, and there’s no air moving through your radiator. That’s why Mishimoto is excited to announce our 1989-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0L Performance Aluminum Fan Shroud. This fan shroud incorporates three Mishimoto high-flow 10-inch electric slim fans. Each of these fans moves a constant 950 CFM regardless of engine speed. One fan replaces the stock AC fan, while the other two fans are free to cool the radiator. The included AC fan jumper harness ensures proper AC function with 1997-2001 models. The lightweight aluminum fan shroud also covers more of the radiator than the stock fan shroud, meaning your entire radiator can benefit from the increase airflow. In our testing, we found that the Mishimoto XJ Fan shroud moved air 41.9-percent better than the stock fan shroud at idle and 22-percent better than the stock fans at 2,500 RPM. Our electric fan shroud also eliminates the heavy mechanical fan, reducing drag on the engine and freeing up horsepower and torque for your trail climbing enjoyment. The Mishimoto fans can be activated manually with a switch (sold separately) or by our available adjustable fan controller. The Mishimoto fan controller mounts conveniently on the Mishimoto fan shroud and can be set to activate the fans at any temperature from 150F to 240FThis Part Fits:

Really Helps-Especially for Star Station Tests-Haven’t Failed Since Using in Two Older Vehicles

Ever since the new CA State mandate that older cars and trucks have to go to a Star Emissions Station for their smog check I have become very familiar with Guaranteed to Pass. The first year of getting smogged under the new regulations my 1995 truck barely failed. It’s a tougher series of tests and it really sucks to have to pay more for a smog test that is designed to get older cars and trucks off the road that would normally pass a regular smog check. It came at a bad time, having just been laid off and losing my health insurance and income and trying to figure how to come up with money for truck repairs to get my registration renewed so I could be a viable job candidate in the really bad job market of a few years back (and still today, may I add.) But that is a whole other issue that gets my blood boiling. So back to my experience with Guaranteed to Pass. My 1995 Ford Truck barely failed and I mean barely according to the emission numbers so I had the manifold cleaned out, used premium gas for a tank and added Guaranteed to Pass. Having two gas tanks was handy as I could switch the tank to a fresh tank without the remainder of the additive in it for the retest. It passed with flying colors.
So for our other older 1993 mini-van and the truck in the few successive years since I always run the premium gas with Guaranteed to Pass in the tanks before the smog check. We’ve had the van and truck tested 3-4 times combined since and they pass every time. So I’m sold on Guaranteed to Pass and will vouch for it.

No more struggling on n54 oil filter cap!

First of all, this is a lifesaver. Getting the oil filter cap on the bmw N54 is a pain to tighten. I can not stress it enough. However this oil filter cap is most definitely the best purchase i have ever made during the oil change process. Before i bought it i damaged my oil filter cap because i didn't have the correct wrench and had to use big pliers to tighten it. Im glad i made this purchase, it’s affordable, good quality, super easy to use, grips the cap well, looks nice and clean, and works extremely well overall. This makes my life owning a N54 powered BMW much more convenient, especially as a DIY’er. I would 100% recommend this product, 5/5 stars.
