The Maton SRS Series of guitars are not just the most affordable series that Maton has to offer, they're unbelievable instruments that have come from years of development by Maton's Master luthiers into a fine tuned machine ready for the road!
The SRS808 Model is constructed using a Cedar top w/ Victorian Blackwood back and sides. Cedar makes for a powerful and bouncy top on an acoustic guitar, with punchy & defined notes when fingerpicked and strummed. Couple this with Victorian Blackwood, and you'll get a fingerstylist machine with a defined, complex, high end; this is the guitar you need in your arsenal next!
Not only can this guitar blow away any competition acoustic-ly, this Maton is equipped with the proprietary pickup system, the AP5 Pro. The AP5-Pro (arguably the best acoustic pickup in the world) now features Separate Microphone and Piezo input controls allow for blending of both microphone and piezo levels prior to sending the actively combined signals through to the tone circuits and master volume. Highly selective cardioid microphone system allows for much greater microphone level before feedback in live environments. This newly upgraded microphone is direct mounted to the preamp casing via an adjustable arm, which permits easy final tweaking of microphone position to suit the individual artists style.
All controls are now at your fingertips, and their 'resistance curves' have been specially designed and manufactured expressly for the AP5-Pro. As a result, the Bass, Treble and MID are now much more 'linear' in feel. The FQ (Mid Sweep) now goes down much lower and has a much wider frequency band (600Hz to 2.4kHz) to give greater control when targeting your specific sound.
