The color is a warm brown that is rather, well, peachy! There's a swelling on the backside of this blank that looks like early growth of a burl the grain is swirling but not quite burly in the parts that have been cut so far. | UFO Peach Bowl Blank Ph-430 7" x 9" x 10" 8.9 lbs. This is a sizeable bowl blank of Texas-grown UFO Peach wood. It has gorgeous grain and hints of spalting. The color is a warm brown that is rather, well, peachy! There's a swelling on the backside of this blank that looks like early growth of a burl -- the grain is swirling but not quite burly in the parts that have been cut so far. The inside of it may be surprisingly pretty. There is some spalting and bug-assisted decay, but the wood has plenty of integrity. There are also some minor drying checks. You may want to touch up with CA glue as you go. This wood was from a tree grown in Katy, Texas. It died during the Valentine's Day freeze of 2021. We cut and sealed it with Anchor Seal shortly after it died, then let it rest and spalt for about a year before processing it. We have very limited quantities of this unusual-to-Texas wood. This is a GREEN to partially air-dried bowl blank, meaning that it still retains a lot of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. It has been well-sealed on all surfaces with Anchor Seal and is in the process of slowly drying. It has been heat-treated to eliminate any gnawing critters. It was measured at ~25% MC in May 2022. Definitely a Must-Have
Scent: Sandalwood
This beard kit is legit. The sandalwood scent is clean and manly without being overpowering, which makes it great for everyday wear. The oils and balms actually soften coarse beard hair, reduce itch, and leave the beard looking healthier and more manageable. Packaging feels premium and the pump bottles are easy to use — no mess, no waste. I’ve tried a lot of beard kits over the years, and this one hits the sweet spot for quality, scent, and value. Highly recommend if you want a well-groomed beard that doesn’t smell like “baby powder mixed with perfume.”
