PectaSol-C

The Most-Researched Modified Citrus Pectin (MCP) PectaSol-C® is the most researched and effective Modified Citrus Pectin (MCP) supplement available.

Ongoing clinical and scientific data demonstrates that PectaSol-C® MCP offers a number of important health benefits: Supports Cellular Health, Maintains Healthy Galectin-3 Levels, Supports Healthy Immune Response.

What is PectaSol-C® Modified Citrus Pectin (MCP)? Regular citrus pectin supports digestive health, but the molecules are too large to enter the circulation -- meaning benefits are restricted to the GI tract alone. PectaSol-C® MCP solves this limitation with an advanced modification process that reduces the size and structure of the pectin. This allows PectaSol-C® to absorb into the circulation and deliver total-body benefits related to cellular health, immunity and more.

Supports Healthy Cells & Blocks Galectin-3

Over the last decade, scientists and researchers have shown that cellular, cardiovascular, and other critical areas of health are significantly affected by elevated levels of “rogue protein” galectin-3. Therefore, finding a way to maintain healthy galectin-3 levels is of utmost importance in supporting wellness and longevity. Modified Citrus Pectin is the most-researched galectin-3 blocker, and PectaSol-C® is the most-researched modified citrus pectin, delivering unparalleled support for numerous areas of health through its ability to successfully bind and block excess galectin-3.

Supports a Healthy Immune Response

Research demonstrates that PectaSol-C® MCP actively promotes immune health and supports a healthy immune response.

The Only Clinically Researched Modified Citrus Pectin

PectaSol-C® is the only MCP with nearly two decades of scientific substantiation showing its unique benefits for cellular health, cardiovascular health, immune health, detoxification and more. PectaSol-C® provides a simple and all-natural method for supporting numerous critical areas of health because of its ability to naturally block the effects of excess galectin-3 throughout the body.

Since Modified Citrus Pectin is not a carefully defined term in the supplement industry, beware that there are multiple citrus pectin products that will not have the same effect as seen in published studies. That's because, unlike PectaSol-C®, the molecules they contain are simply too large to be easily absorbed and used by your body. PectaSol-C® is the only MCP with the correct molecular weight and structure of  < 15 kDa (kilodaltons) and a low degree of esterification, for optimal health support as demonstrated in the published literature.

FAQs

What is the Most Effective Way to Dissolve PectaSol-C® Powder into Liquid?

  • Put one 5 gram scoop of PectaSol-C into your glass.

  • Add your liquid (water, juice, tea or coffee).

  • Stir contents until powder is dissolved.

Water is best, but some people do use other liquids, such as juice. It's best to stir immediately upon adding the liquid and even better solubility results may be seen if using warm liquid. Modified Citrus Pectin has a very mild, bland taste.

What Pectins are used to Make PectaSol-C®?

The pectin contained in PectaSol-C is derived from lemons, limes and oranges. It is made from the pith of the fruit, no juice, pulp or any part of the "fruit" is used.

Why does PectaSol-C® Contain so much Sodium & Potassium?

The sodium and potassium ratio in PectaSol-C® is carefully controlled and balanced to resemble the naturally occurring ratio, and is acceptable for most individuals. If you are on a sodium or potassium restricted diet, it is advised that you consult your health care provider.

Is PectaSol-C® OK to Give to my Dog or Cat?

Yes. Average, mid-sized dogs may take 1 scoop daily. Cats should take only ½ scoop or less, as they are smaller. This can be put in their water dish.

Does PectaSol-C® Contain Vitamin C?

PectaSol-C® does not contain any Vitamin C, the "C" stands for cellular health.

Are there any Contraindications or Cautions for PectaSol-C®?

Research has shown no toxicity in short or long term use. Since PectaSol-C MCP is a dietary fiber, some individuals may experience loose stools at the start of use. Although there are no known drug interactions with PectaSol-C MCP, it is recommended that it be taken separately from other medications. In the production of PectaSol-C MCP, the ratio of sodium to potassium is carefully controlled to resemble the ratio naturally present. People with a health condition requiring the restriction of potassium or sodium should consult their health care provider before using this product. If you are nursing, pregnant or considering pregnancy, you should consult your healthcare professional prior to using this product.

A Rich and Wonderful Pictorial Biography
Format: Paperback
This is a beautiful book that tells Ghandi's story through wonderful photographs and a simple and elucidating text. Ghandi appears os a struggling human being who changes himself through hard work. It really is a story of transformation, and it's very well told here. I liked it so well, I used it as part of our study on world revolutions when I was teaching ninth grade last year, and the students also liked it very much.

A Tool for Study
Format: Kindle
Though this book feels like it has been cobbled together from different sources it provides a sense of Gandhi's spiritual growth and the sources for it. His ideas and principles are clearly and often repeatedly stated offering the student the benefit of repetition in varied words. I'll be reading it again and again to extract a summary of those. Recommended for beginning Gandhi explorers.

Off the couch and on the road
Format: Kindle
Even those who are happy in their circumstance may find themselves discontented with the sameness of their days. An adventure will relieve this, and perhaps we can make the adventure happen, and yet the sameness of our days is the very thing that holds us back. But then we read how someone actually did it, had a true adventure to match the best of our daydreams, and we think, I could do that, too! Beth Jusino’s Camino memoir is for everyone who has ever considered doing something extraordinary, something beyond everyday life. She freely admits her life was sedentary — as couch-bound as you or I — but then the notion of the Camino grew from daydream to impulse, and then became irresistible, and she was fortunate to have a husband who gladly came along. It’s a book of astonishing quality, the words well-chosen, each page proof of her craft. She engages us not only with her physical ordeal (which is considerable, until she finds better shoes along the way), but also with her wonderment at the things she sees, the people she meets on the way, and we are compelled along, turning each page to see what happens next. Her story is not only rich in anecdote but also in the wealth of reflection on what she sees and hears along the way. Some particular scenes that stay fixed in memory are her encounters with a flock of sheep she meets at just the point when she needs them — a Camino miracle! — and also her descriptions of the great storks in their huge nests on all the church steeples and other high points along the way. Again and again I marked passages in the text so that I may come back and enjoy them once more. It’s also a love story, and the measure of this is the way we begin to anticipate her moments of particular challenge when her husband will do whatever needs doing or say whatever she needs to hear. It’s his story as well as hers, and she knows this and sets it down, and in so doing, tells us that perhaps she could not have finished her journey without him. Those who have walked any part of the road to Santiago will relive moments in familiar places and perhaps see what they missed the first time along the way and gain a new insight, a fresh view of what they overlooked before. And they may think, yes, I’ll go again! But if you’ve never had an adventure and Santiago is no more than the stuff of your daydreams, if you have so far only imagined such an undertaking, if the sameness of your days holds you back, then read this book. Then go out and do it. But make sure you buy the right shoes.

Walking from La Puy to Finisterre...a well written memoir
Format: Paperback
The key to writing a Camino book--at least from this reader's perspective--it to have a well-written, well-edited, and unique personal account of the adventure. I've read many Camino books that lack these three elements. WTTEOTW has all three elements and is a great addition to anyone's Camino library. The book is paced nicely and makes for an easy read. I was amused that the author had spent considerable time preparing for this trip yet seemed not to have absorbed some important information prior to the trip--e.g. appropriate footwear, the scramble for nightly accommodations, the frustrations that commonly occur while traveling in unfamiliar cultures. Her adjustments along the way provide humor and insight into preparing for things we've not yet experienced in our own lives.

really enjoyable
Format: Kindle
I'm thinking of doing the French route myself (starting in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port) and have been inhaling other people's stories of the route, whether blog or book form. The writing is engaging, and both funny and touching in places. I liked that the author is willing to note her own faults as much of those of others', but noted the strengths of herself and everyone around her as well. And her love for her husband jumped off the page, which I really appreciated! About halfway through the author's time in Spain I found myself on google maps--a surprising portion of the Camino is available on street view!--and yeah, now I *really* want to go. I'm thinking spring of 2023. Fingers crossed. EDIT: I read the book and wrote this review in late fall of 2021. It is currently March of 2023. I'm flying to France on April 17th, to start in St. Jean Pied de Port. :D EDIT, number two: The Camino was awesome, and I will probably do it again in a few years, and it was fun to reread this book after doing the Camino and be able to remember so many of the places she talks about. <3
