The stark frailty of the human condition is the overall theme running through the veins of Kayo Dot's 10th regular studio album "Moss Grew on the Swords and Plowshares Alike".

In the sprawling, churning musical multiverse of mainly multi-instrumentalist Toby Driver's creation that has never accepted nor cared for any artificial borders of genre and incorporated for example rock, metal, classical music, goth, indie, pop, and jazzy structures, this avant-garde album appears to tilt towards a more harsh as well as heavy approach than on some of the previous recordings â€" and considering it's dark and melancholic undertones may be given the epithet doom.

Something of the pagan mind's cyclic vision of the world appears to have infected "Moss Grew on the Swords and Plowshares Alike". This album has been recorded with the original line-up of Toby Driver's previous band MAUDLIN OF THE WELL. He also recorded the new tracks in the same location as the very first MAUDLIN OF THE WELL tape.

In a way, Kayo Dot are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of the landmark double album "Bath/Leaving Your Body Map" and the 25 years since MAUDLIN OF THE WELL's inception with "Moss Grew on the Swords and Plowshares Alike". After the split of much loved MAUDLIN OF THE WELL, charismatic frontman Toby Driver formed the avant-garde music project Kayo Dot as a new outlet for his burgeoning creativity in 2003. The multi-instrumentalist and singer remains the only absolute constant in this band, although there are frequent lyrical contributions from his former band-mate Jason Byron throughout the extensive discography.

In the following 18 years, Kayo Dot released an impressive number of full-lengths, EPs, splits, and live recordings that are all marked by considerable stylistic differences and a wide array of instrumentation that included guitars, bass, drums, vibraphone, violin, synthesizers, flutes, clarinets and saxophone. Especially in progressive circles, Kayo Dot has become a household name and is supported by prestigious, forward thinking festivals such as Roadburn.

With "Moss Grew on the Swords and Plowshares Alike", Kayo Dot deliver another beautiful and essential facet of their complex musical multiverse, although the album can easily stand on it's own as a most impressive piece of dark avant-garde metal.

Does nothing to stop dogs from barking. I have other similar boxes that work great. Ordered this one because thought it was cute but doesn’t work.

Wonderful, safe chew toy
Durable but safe for dogs teeth. Our large red puppy chew on this all the time and we’ve had it for weeks.

Not durable at all but pooch loved it for a few minutes before destroying it
I don't consider my dog's super chewers. But my border collie lab mix got through this in just a few minutes. He definitely really liked the smell. Both my dogs liked the smell of this product a lot. But I need it to last longer and once you get past the softer springy outer layer, the inside is just hard plastic. So once I realized he was chewing up the hard plastic the chew toy was a goner

Great Value Toy
Color: Crinkle Duck (Blue), Size: Large, Color: Crinkle Duck (Blue), Size: Large
This toy has been one of my dog’s absolute favorites. He gets excited every time he sees it and will carry it around the house, toss it in the air, and keep himself entertained for a long time. The shape and texture seem perfect for him, and it quickly became one of his go-to toys over everything else in his basket. What I really like is that it holds up reasonably well for the price. It’s definitely not indestructible, and after a lot of play, it will sometimes start to rip—usually around the feet first since that’s where my dog tends to grab and chew the most. But honestly, considering how affordable it is, I don’t mind replacing it when needed. It’s inexpensive enough that rebuying feels worth it because he genuinely loves it that much. I’d rather keep buying a toy he is obsessed with than spend more on something that just sits untouched. It’s fun, cute, and keeps him happy, which is what matters most. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it for dogs who love plush toys and playful chewing.
