The colors are the golden brown of mature Bodark with intra grain bands of reddish brown spalting. There is a small wedge of old sapwood and bark along two thirds of one edge (top photo). That sapwood and bark should turn off completely as the block is turned to round. There is a single thin and tight drying check below that patch of sapwood

There is a single thin and tight drying check below that patch of sapwood and bark on one edge. It appears to be old and I would simply reinforce it with CA glue before turning. I see no other significant flaws.

I'm not allergic to it & didn't burn! Wasn't greasy, easy to apply. Worked great for face, neck, chest and arms. Wore for a week straight. Didn't clog pores or cause skin issues. Worked great as a sunscreen. Stayed solid enough in FL heat that TSA didn't confiscate. Double bonus

Itchy, red rash

I suspect that they are lying about the ingredients in this product. I have never reacted to any skincare products except for chemical sunscreens. This product claims to be a mineral based sunscreen but I had a terrible reaction to it. I have an itchy, red rash all over my face and arms that's been taking days to improve. I can't help but wonder if they are not disclosing all of the components of this product. I will be returning this product and requesting a refund.
