The Giulietta starts out with a classic archtop body constructed from a laminated spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides. This tonewood combination makes the Giulietta both sonically resonant and easy to sling over your shoulder. Its compact body design ensures an easy fit in any player's arms while a mahogany neck and jatoba fingerboard allow for smooth trips from higher to lower registers. The electronics system of this acoustic/electric hybrid is where the magic comes alive. A new VOX Super Capacitor Preamp System introduces a new way to translate acoustic tones to the stage. Based around a high-quality piezo pickup, the Giulietta's archtop tone blooms in ways not commonly heard from other acoustic/electric archtops. Another innovative addition, the VOX Hybrid Bridge System uses the piezo pickup system in combination with a wooden base to bring the absolute best out of the natural tones produced by the Giulietta. These innovative features make sure that every player gets the full tonal spectrum of the Giulietta for a new playing experience. An Active/Passive switch is also incorporated in the Giulietta's design to turn the Super Capacitor Preamp on and off.
