Ladies and Gretchinz, start your engines! Gretchinz! is a mad-cap racing offering from Devir Games. Designed by Roberto Fraga and Yohan Lemonnier, Gretchinz! takes place within the world of Gorkamorka. It's part of the Warhammer 40,000 lore, but this isn't your traditional skirmish dudes-on-a-map game. This is a dune buggy race, with the first to reach the finish line crowned the winner. Gretchinz! features real-time dice rolling, dice programming, and semi-blind hand-management. Think of what the baby between Hanabi and King of Tokyo might look like. You're thinking of Gretchinz! A line of desert terrain cards sit face-up, representing the route ahead. Each player has three identical custom dice, with actions on the faces (not numbers). Everybody rolls their dice simultaneously. If you see a die face you like in among your three, you can 'lock it' in place. Then you reroll your remaining dice, over and over again... You keep doing this until you're happy with your three die faces. Then you shout out: "Waaaaghh!", which signals everyone has to stop rolling. Whatever die faces they have at that moment, they keep. Of course, someone else could have triggered the Waaaaghh!, so this section of Gretchinz! is rather manic! Then, in turn order, players activate their die face actions. Some let you progress your buggy forward onto the desert cards, where you obey the action on said card. Then you reveal the next section of the desert wasteland, up ahead. Other die faces let you draw Attack cards into your hand - but there's a twist. You draw some of them facing away from you (like in Hanabi). Your opponents can see what Attack cards you have (Hit, or Miss), but you can't! Other die faces let you shoot your rivals. You have to pick cards from your hand. If you pick Attack cards, it's a Hit! That player takes damage. If it's a miss, you shoot your own vehicle and take the damage, yourself! Gretchinz! is light-hearted madness, the kind of chaos you love to embrace. And why is it so satisfying to shout out "Waaaaghh!" all the time...? Player Count: 2-4 Players Time: 20 minutes Age: 8+

A great book for a fan of the early final fantasy series.
Format: Hardcover
I love this book! I grew up with the NES and this brought back a lot of memories of how as a kid I would get lost in the creativity of what developers of these games made with only some blocks. I love pixel art and this book is great if you enjoy making your own and admiring the work of someone else's and seeing their imagination from some truly great games. This book is small in size but is perfect size to show blown up images of final fantasy pixel characters and creatures, also of places from the games. Also having final fantasy characters from beyond the Nintendo/SNES was a really cool surprise to see if they had been made in that era.

All around helpful---worth the money!
Format: Paperback
This guide has been most helpful for all the folks I help prepare for the iTEP test! It gives insight into what each section of the test is looking for along with examples and great tips about actually TAKING the test. In the Writing and Speaking sections, it also gives sample scores and comments from the Master Grader which is very helpful too.

Comprehensive, clear and coherent!
Format: Paperback
The iTEP Practice Guide combines a no-nonsense approach to the specific iTEP tests and at the same time offers exercises that task the student with what they need to know. Exercises not only serve the purpose of scoring well, but the overall approach is communicative competence. We use the text in our group and one-to-one classes with very positive--and lasting--results.
