Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Torker LP Race Frame?
A faithful reissue of Torker's defining 1978 Low Profile race frame — the most versatile BMX frame of its era, ridden by the 1979 National Number One Torker factory team. The modern reissue keeps the original sideplate gussets and dual top tube DNA while adding 1 1/8" threadless steertube, 27.2 seatmast, V brakes, and Euro BB.

What sizes does the LP Race come in?
Three sizes: Pro (20.5" TT), Pro XL (21.25" TT), Pro XXL (21.75" TT). All with 15.25" chainstays, 11.625" BB height, 74.5° head angle.

Who rode the original LP?
The 1979 National Number One Torker factory team — Eddy King, Mike Aguilera, Doug Olson, Doug Davis, Patti Gammil, Cathy Hanna, Jason Jensen, Clint Miller. Clint "The Barbarian" Miller went on to win the first IBMXF World Pro Championship in 1980 on a Torker LP. Read the full Fullerton Era history.

What's the difference between the LP Race and the LP-F?
The LP Race is built for racing — 27.2 seatmast, V brakes, Euro BB, 3/8" dropouts. The LP-F is built for freestyle — 25.4 seatmast, U brakes, Mid BB, 14mm dropouts, removable gyro tabs.

What's the difference between the LP Race and the PRO-X?
The LP carries the 1978 Low Profile DNA with traditional sideplate gussets. The PRO-X (1982) was the first Torker to use small triangle downtube gussets and machined head tube/BB. Pick by which era and rider you connect with.

How limited is the LP Race?
Triple Show Chrome, Gloss Black, Candy Red, or Candy Blue. 50 XL Chrome and 25 of each color in all other sizes per production run.

Harder and heavier than a dog toy should be, but it is sturdy.
Color: Mixed Blue
The outer rim is a very hard plastic, hard enough to dent and ding furniture. Too hard to throw in the house. Dog likes it but has difficulty getting his mouth around the sides as the item is very heavy for its size. Squeaker in the middle was a a nice surprise. Would not buy again.
