This unique collaboration between the Van Gogh Museum and Beddinghouse has resulted in a very special collection of bedroom textiles. Every design is inspired by a painting by Vincent van Gogh. This print is based on the painting Almond Blossom. As a gift, Vincent painted one of his favourite subjects: large, flowering branches set against a blue sky. He painted it to celebrate the birth of his godson, who was also named after him, Vincent Willem. As a symbol of young life, Vincent chose the branches of the almond tree, one of the earliest flowering trees - as early as February - that announce spring. The subject, the sharp outlines, and the placement of the tree in the picture plane is evidence of the inspiration Van Gogh found in Japanese woodblock prints. It brings together a different colour composition, with the famous almond blossom branches standing out on a green canvas print background.

This quilt cover is made from 100% cotton sateen (220TC). The back is green. Thanks to the sateen weave, the fabric feels wonderfully soft and has a sophisticated shine. The quilt cover has a double tuck-in flap along the entire width on both sides. The total length of the quilt cover is 260 cm. This extra long length means that the cover can easily be tucked under the mattress to keep feet nice and cosy.
