More: This particular Epimedium is quite vigorous and makes an excellent woodland ground cover that looks good all year, so site accordingly. Many varieties of Barrenwort have been in cultivation for over 150 years. A tried and true perennial for a shady border. Will gradually increase into a nice-size clump via rhizome. The foliage looks great all summer. Clumps can be divided in late summer. I have seen early season bees feeding on the flowers. This one is too robust for all but the largest woodland rock gardens. Epimediums are deer and rabbit resistant.
