Applications:
- Air Filtration Volatiles Organic (VOC's):
- The GAC is used as a filter in the vent from the air source being treated. The carbon adsorbs the VOCs which are a common cause of odours.
- Methyl Bromide (MeBr): The GAC is used as a filter in the vent from the fumigation system.
- Waste Water Treatment:
- Waste Water: The granular activated carbon is used as a filter in a vessel through which the water is pumped. The GAC is regularly backwashed and does not need to be replaced until it is exhausted which may take several years.
- Stormwater: The granular activated carbon is used as part of a stormwater sand filter constructed specially for stormwater treatment through which the stormwater is flowing. The GAC will remove organic compounds present in the stormwater.
- Chlorine Removal: Removal of chlorine from municipal water supply to dairy / food processing plant. Removal of chlorine from municipal water supply to a water / beverage bottling plant.
- Aquatic Centre: The granular activated carbon is used as a filter in a vessel through which the water is pumped. The GAC is regularly backwashed and does not need to be replaced until it is exhausted which may take several years.

Great at Protecting Cigars under 6 Inches in Length

Solid and well made cigar holder. It has a built-in punch cutter, but I found it to be way too big and dull on top of that. Both ends unscrew and can be used as a cigar rest if you don't have an ash tray handy. It definitely will not fit any cigar over 6 inches in length. It looks really nice and definitely provides protection for the cigar. The claim that it has one end to use as an ashtray is ridiculous, so bring an ashtray as this will not work for that. It is a cigar holder with a rest and nothing more. Bring along a proper cutter and an ashtray and you will be happy. I deducted one star for the poor punch cutter and the ashtray claim.

Durable and Makes a Statement

This is a bit of a statement piece. It appears to be machined out of a solid piece of metal. Gold toned, it shows you have arrived. It is a bit weighty. It can hold a large ring cigar; a Robusto would be no problem. A Churchill would be too long. It does the job. It comes with a dropper for the distilled water and some Ziploc type bags (not sure why they are included). It's worth the selling price of $8.90 . Great as a gift as well.
