Item Details:

  • You will receive one live White Lined Sphinx pupae
  • Pupae will be verified live and healthy before shipment.
  • Pupae are diapausing, and will hatch/eclose in spring 2026.
  • Packed like royalty and carefully shipped.
  • We guarantee shipping a live pupa. Because this is a live animal, there are no other guarantees after shipment.

General Directions:

  • Keep inside in a pop-up tent/rearing cage (also available on our site), on top of paper towel.
  • Mist daily, as inside air is quite dry.
  • (On Arrival) Around Thanksgiving/End of November, place the pupa into a sealed container and into the refrigerator.
  • Keep in the fridge at approximately 38F, venting monthly for a few minutes and removing any visible moisture.
  • Remove pupa from the fridge in spring, about 3 weeks prior to the natural flight of this species in the region. We typically remove White Lined Sphinx around April 1st.
  • Place pupa in clean, slightly moist potting soil or coconut coir. Pupa should be surrounded by the medium, but visible from above. Lightly mist with water daily.  This species pupates underground and this helps mimic natural humidity levels.
  • Pupa should eclose (hatch) in 3-6 weeks.
  • White Lined Sphinx prefers warmth to assist in eclosion, so try to keep temperatures above 70F.  On our farm we usually keep them around 80F.
  • Wild release - okay all states
  • There are many resources and online groups to handle questions about live butterflies and moths and pupae care. Send us an email if you get stuck :)

    Love this product!
This sunscreen is heavy duty, I use it on my boys when we go to beach (They love to spend hours and hours under the blistering sun) and it out performs other brands and has longer protection than their 50 SPF product.

    Sun Safe and Satisfied
Living in Arizona, where the sun reigns supreme, finding a reliable sunscreen for my daughter has been paramount. Our spring and summer are filled with swimming lessons, poolside gatherings, and outdoor adventures. In this sun-drenched setting, Coppertone SPF 70 Sunscreen for Kids has become our go-to sun protection. The standout feature for me is its thick consistency. It’s a parent’s little helper, allowing clear visibility of where the sunscreen is applied to ensure no spot is missed. And the results speak for themselves – my daughter hasn't had a sunburn since we started using it. While she doesn’t have the fairest skin and tends to tan rather than burn, the effectiveness of this sunscreen has been impressive. I’ve even used it on my own skin, particularly on my shoulders, and I'm happy to report no sunburns there either. It’s reassuring to have a product that I can trust for both myself and my child. However, I’m aware of the growing concerns regarding certain sunscreen ingredients and their potential health implications. Coppertone SPF 70 contains a mix of chemical sunscreens like Avobenzone, Homosalate, and Oxybenzone. These ingredients have raised questions in recent years. Some studies suggest that chemical sunscreens can be absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream, leading to potential health risks. Oxybenzone has been under scrutiny for its potential effects on coral reefs and marine life, as well as concerns about hormonal disruption in humans. While these ingredients have been effective in preventing sunburns for us, I understand the importance of making informed choices, especially when it comes to health and wellness. As with any health-related product, I encourage others to research and decide what’s best for their family, considering both the effectiveness of sun protection and the potential impacts of ingredients. In conclusion, Coppertone SPF 70 has been a reliable ally in our family's fight against sunburns. It's a product that offers peace of mind when it comes to sun protection, but mindful consideration of its ingredients is advised for those who are concerned about the broader implications of chemical sunscreens.

Amazing how fast it goes on without the white look!
This stuff is amazing!! I wear baby sunscreen because I rub my eyes a lot, but most of it takes forever to rub in and not look white. This rubs in immediately like any other sunscreen, and it doesn’t burn my eyes at all, not even when I scratch my face and then rub my eyes. So it’s great for small children too, not just 75 yr old ones!

    Used for years
I have used this sunscreen since my kids were toddlers. I don’t find it sticky and it turns clear pretty fast. I don’t typically need to reapply on them more than once.
