Details

Ferdinand Ries (1784-1838) was one of the greatest pianists of his time and a composer of exceptional abilities. Ries studied pianoforte (but not composition) with Beethoven in Vienna and the two men remained on cordial terms for the rest of their lives. In the last year of his life Ries co-wrote a book of Beethoven reminiscences that remain one of the most valuable sources of information about his life and character. Ries composed prolifically in many genres and unsurprisingly left an important body of works for pianoforte and orchestra. The C major Concerto was composed not long after Ries completed his studies with Beethoven. The same year he wrote a piano sonata in C which, together with a sonata in a minor, composed two years earlier, in 1804, he published as his Op.1 with a dedication to Beethoven. The C major Sonata represents a considerable advance over the earlier work and opens with a theme that has some similarities to that of the first movement of the concerto. Unsurprisingly, the imprint of Beethoven can be heard very strongly in both works with echoes of the Piano Concerto in C major, Op.15 and the C minor Concerto with which Ries made his Vienna dbut. Nonetheless, the work is very different in some respects, none more so than in the quality of the piano writing which suggests Hummel rather than Beethoven in much of its detail. Ries's handling of large-scale musical structures is confident and although he does not develop thematic material with the rigorous concentration of his teacher, he invests the music with great interest and variety through sensitive reworkings, the frequent introduction of new melodic material and the virtuoso's fair for brilliant decoration. The lovely slow movement has a Mozartian poise and the striking opening with wind alone is a nice touch. The finale opens rather surprisingly with a cadenza before launching off into a cheerful, energetic Rondo that owes a good deal to the finale of Beethoven's First Concerto. Allan Badley

Tired of bad sleep try this pillow :)
Size: Sapphire Queen
Never owned a nice or expensive pillow finally after a good 25 years of super cheap pillows finally decided to try a nice one and see if there is a big difference and see what all the woot is about anyways in my opinion I am a side sleeper and I now just use this instead of multiple pillows and I can safely say it works very well seems too cool a little and is very comfortable plus bonus they give you extra fluff if you want to add more or replace but straight out of the box was absolutely perfect for sleeping I am insanely picky about it will ABSOLUTELY BUY THIS AGAIN 🥰🥰🥰 firmness absolutely perfect as is

Flattened out a little over a month or using it
Size: Sapphire Queen
Figured I would wait a month or 2 before leaving a review. At first. The pillow was great. Very comfortable. Held up nice. Nice and firm and gave great support. After a month. It started to flatten out. Had to re-fluff it only to have flatted out faster this time. Now no matter how many times I fluff it. It doesn’t give the proper support any longer. I’ve bought 2 of these and they are identical. So it can’t be just a fluke for the 2 i have. I’m regretting the purchase as the price was fair when I bought them. But not any longer as they are not the same.

Best pillow ever!!!
Size: Sapphire Queen
I have actually tried dozens and dozens of pillows in my life, and dozens in the past three years, but this is it. Some cheap, some very very expensive, and some very famous brands. This one beats them all. So awesome and comfortable (side sleeper). I tried one and loved it so much I ordered a second right away. It is exactly what I've been searching for forever!!! Stays in shape, extremely comfortable. Only thing is you definitely need a 32" pillowcase to cover it, and I wish they made a 34" pillowcase, but no luck. I used the pillow the same night and it's definitely worth the money. No neck pain, super squishy but supportive, and no odor.

Great pillow
Size: Sapphire King, Size: Sapphire King
Super comfy pillow. Fluffs up without any issues and it was the first night in a long time I wasn't allover the bed trying to get comfortable. I appreciate the fact that the material in the pillow can be washed. The prefill was perfect for me so I did not need to remove or add but I like the option to do so. 10/10

Way fluffy, good support
Size: Sapphire Queen
This pillow is way fluffy. It does fit into a standard pillowcase with a little tugging and stuffing. Worth it though, as it’s cool and provides more support than a usual side sleeper pillow. I’m not using the extra stuffing that comes with it as the firmness is fine for me right out of the box.
