This model is for people who have conditioned 48V DC sites, it expects 48V +/- input but can safely operate on 37V to 53V input as it will condition 24V out from this input range but will pass out the input voltage as the 48V POE option. This unit is NOT our "SMART" DC to DC so it expect conditioned 48V DC input +/-. This switch is for sites that already have conditioned 48V. WARNING: These switches are not designed to operate on negative 48V site, using -48V DC will damage the switch as it does not have isolated input output power. If you need negative DC input look at the WS-26-400-IDC or use an isolated DC power supply
