The Bennington flag is a historical flag that is considered to be one of the most iconic symbols of the American Revolution. The flag features 13 alternating red and white stripes and a large blue canton with a circle of 13 white, five-pointed stars. The flag is named after the town of Bennington, Vermont, where it was believed to have been made and first flown in 1777.The history of the Bennington flag can be traced back to the early days of the American Revolution. In 1777, the state of Vermont declared its independence from Great Britain and formed the Vermont Republic, which lasted for 14 years. The flag was first flown during a battle that took place on August 16, 1777 in Bennington, Vermont. The battle, known as the Battle of Bennington, was a significant victory for the American rebels, as they were able to defeat a much larger force of British and German soldiers.
The flag was made by a local woman, Sarah Stickney, who lived in Bennington at the time. It is believed that the flag was made as a symbol of the new nation and as a way to rally the troops during the battle. The flag's design is said to have been inspired by the Stars and Stripes, which was the official flag of the Continental Army at the time, as well as the flag of the New England colonies. The blue canton with 13 stars represented the 13 colonies that were in rebellion against Great Britain.
The flag was used throughout the Revolution and was present at several major battles, including the Battle of Saratoga and the Battle of Yorktown. After the war, it was kept as a treasured relic and was passed down through generations of the Stickney family.
In 1877, the centennial of the American Revolution, the flag was put on display at the United States Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. In 1891, the flag was donated to the Smithsonian Institution, where it is still on display today.

The Passion Translation (TPT)
I really appreciate the translation of this Bible. After using only the KJV all my growing up years, I am learning so much from this Passion Translation as it has study references to refer to for more help in addition to the helpful verse Translation. It does NOT have the Old Testament included but Psalms, Proverbs, and Song of Solomon is included.

It's wonderful. Please buy it. You'll love it
I'm a regular bible reader. Through this Bible, God was able to blow my mind and bring me to tears multiple times. My husband and I open it to Ephesians 1:1 and read 3 chapters. (Received it yesterday). By the time we stopped we started thinking of all the people in our lives who need a copy. We will be buying them as gifts, a couple or so, every paycheck till everyone I know has a copy. Somehow when you read this, even though it says the same thing as other versions, the way it says it, brings it to light and it goes straight to your heart. You have to read it to see what I mean. If you're on the fence about getting it, please get it. You will not regret it. It's worth it. It's also very good quality but I didn't care about that. I care about it speaking straight to your heart and soul.
