The record was produced by Clark and guitarist Jeremiah Scott, mixed by Zeuss (Rob Zombie), and it's title track was mixed by Eric Stenman (AWOLNATION). Demon Hunter has been a defining force in heavy music since emerging in 2002, helping lay the groundwork for modern metalcore.

The band reaffirms it's legacy with There Was A Light Here, it's most personal and sonically ambitious record thus far. The 12th album from one of metalcore's pioneering acts. Mixed by Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed, Whitechapel).
