Hand designed, printed, cut, sewn, and sent out by hand. The BVON Splotch camo design was one I created for my youngest son for his airsoft battles with friends. He runs with a Steyr AUG, so I based my initial concept on Austria's Tarnanzug Neu camouflage that the Bundesheer which is essentially a modern take on Flecktarn.
I prefer to hand draw my patterns for more control, and the ability to strategically scale macro patterns and micro patters so that concealment is consistently effective at close and long range. At close and medium range, this can visually show as movement and rhythm in the smaller shapes. At a distance, however, these elements are essential for disrupting the recognizable silhouette
These smaller patterns building large, maco elements also help with movement concealment. This is achieved by using smaller patterns that don’t create stark lines that would be noticeable when moving. Most of us have a hard time sitting still in the bush, and this is especially true with teenagers. So a 5 color-micro/macro flecktarn pattern helps blur medium range movement.
