‘ANNO: Mutationem’ (ANNO) is a cyberpunk pixel-style ARPG game. The world is based in a dystopian near future, where the leap in science and technology has radically dismantled the human cognitive system, leading to societal alienation and all kinds of mutation.The world was divided into 6 different regions & each region requires the player to explore and is filled with combat elements and items/NPCs to interact with.

Amazing Exploration Experience

Players will be able to switch between 2D and 3D movements. Changing from one mode to another will also impact the corresponding gameplay, respectively Action/Platforming in 2D and exploring/interacting in 3D mode.

Delicate Game Storytelling

Along with Ann's journey, players will slowly find out the ultimate plans from a mysterious organization behind what Ann has to go through. Players will also understand Ann's past and fight with her against the dark power.

Story

ANNO’s story tells a tale of how mankind has recovered from a great cataclysm that swept the entire world, following which new orders and systems were gradually established, which was controlled by The Organization. The Organization is also responsible to rate all abnormal creatures showing up in the world and take them under controlled. They have decided to use Ann's inside power and Symbole's telepathy power to ultimately solve the problem of the world.

Within The Organization, there are two different parties holding different ideas on what's the best way to solve the world's biggest problem - one party leading by Dr.K/G/B is trying to using Ann's inside power and Symbole(a girl with strong telepathy power) and the other party leading by Dr.C trying to pretend helping the first party but actually trying to use Ann's power to save his lover. C understands perfectly that Ann's great power will be woken up if her mental status is not stable. Therefore, he constantly provoke Ann on purpose by using her family members, starts fights in the city, using Alen to 'optimize' Ann's status and releasing abnormal creatures from The Orgnization.

At the end of the story, Dr.C's dark side is completely twisted and he becomes an evil dragon which is the incarnation of evil. Ann gets her brother back and saves the world successfully by fighting against him.

What Ann doesn't know, is the fact that her inside power has been planned to be used as the great weapon by the dark power of the organization to ultimately solve the world's absurd situation.

It all starts with Ann's brother's missing. Along with the journey of finding him, Ann and her friend Yauchi start to uncover the evil plan of the dark power.
