This electronically-equipped concert-sized acoustic guitar from Yamaha brings together timeless acoustic tones with ultra-modern digital effects for a guitar that balances the old with the new.
As an acoustic guitar, the TAS1E follows in the footsteps of generations of fine Yamaha acoustics. With this TransAcoustic model, the series takes a step forward. Principally starting with a concert-sized, non-cutaway body made of solid spruce and mahogany, this Yamaha punches in with rich acoustic tone to get the show on the road. This comfortable, smaller-sized concert body then reaches out with a matte-finished mahogany neck for a smooth feel in the fretting hand. A walnut fingerboard joins in here to make for an effortless fretting feel on the fingertips.
The real showstopper of this Yamaha, however, is its TransAcoustic electronics. Onboard, the TAS1E features lush reverb and chorus effects to bring seamless to amplified performance. Responsive dial controls mix in exquisite onboard effect tones in a flash with two AA battery power. This playing and performance experience is backed up by Yamaha's die-cast chrome tuning machines, urea nut, and walnut bridge for a sturdy and reliable hardware setup. This Yamaha TransAcoustic TAS1E travels with an included hard gig bag.
