Plant in full to partial sun, in well drained soil.  Hardy in zones 6-9.  In cooler climates it is grown in pots to bring in for the winter. In warmer climates it will die to the ground in the winter, and return the next year.  It tends to spread as it returns, so keep that in mind when choosing its location.
