The Esprit Leflaive label, born in 2018, explores the wider Burgundy region, venturing beyond the Côte de Beaune and Mâconnais to Chablis and the Côte de Nuits. The Savigny les Beaune 1er Cru, Lés Vergelesses, is a white wine from the Bourgogne region, made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. This Premier Cru vineyard, located in the northern part of Savigny-les-Beaune, produces a beautifully mineral white wine with great tension and aging potential. The wine is made with organic and sustainable practices, aged for 1 year in oak barrels (20% new) and 6 months in stainless steel vats. Expect a complex and refined wine with notes of citrus, stone fruits, and a hint of oak, perfect for pairing with seafood, poultry, or creamy sauces.
