The heat treated center balls are cross-drilled for thru-bolt lubrication and the joint internals are retained with 2 heavy duty, heat treated side washers and a snap ring. This specific joint is a 2 1/2 in. diameter, fitted with a zerk fitting for greasing, 2 1/4 in. of 1 1/4 in.-12 right hand threads on the shank, and a 2.625 in. mounting width offset ball with a .640 in. thru bolt hole. What a lifesaver!

The usual box stores wanted around $150-$200 for a New and or Refurbished starter. The Ezexpreze 17749 was such a great deal and It bolted up nicely to my 1999 TJ with the 4.0 4x4! Its a great replacement, I've had it for about half a year but it starts with ease. I'll definitely get me another one as a backup at this price point!
