Dr Thomas Morland Hocken (1836–1910) arrived in Dunedin in 1862, aged 26. Throughout his busy life as a medical practitioner he amassed books, manuscripts, sketches, maps and photographs of early New Zealand. Much of his initial collecting focused on the early discovery narratives of James Cook; along with the writings of Rev. Samuel Marsden and his contemporaries; Edward Gibbon Wakefield and the New Zealand Company; and M?ori, especially in the south. He gifted his collection to the University of Otago in 1910. Hocken was a contemporary of New Zealand’s other two notable early book collectors, Sir George Grey and Alexander Turnbull. In this magnificent piece of research, a companion volume to his Amassing Treasures for All Times: Sir George Grey, colonial bookman and collector, Donald Kerr examines Hocken’s collecting activities and his vital contribution to preserving the history of New Zealand’s early post-contact period.

Will buy again
Size: Large, Color: Washed Denim, Number of Items: 1
Great shirt! The material is very comfortable on my skin. It is a little tight in the neck but pulling on it ever so slightly fixed it for me, other than that it fits perfectly!

Great price; some fitting notes
Size: Medium, Color: Washed Denim, Number of Items: 2
The shirt looks good, good quality, and the price is pretty much unbeatable. Some notes of fit: compared to the Eddie Bauer men's medium legend wash (my standard), this one has a smaller neck opening and is a bit tighter around the chest. Also, the short sleeves are shorter than Bauer's. These aren't really criticisms, but they may work better or worse depending on the person wearing them.

Comfortable, Colorful, Soft, Affordable.
Size: Large, Color: Ice Blue, Number of Items: 1
These T Shirts are as good as it gets especially at the price point. All cotton, very soft, very colorful. Wash well. If you don’t want them to shrink, I suggest air drying them. I had an XL one for years and pretty much ignored it. Found it again and it’s amazing to wear to bed or around the house. At
These prices if you need or want a T shirt, this is the one to get.

The Perfect Tee Shirt
Size: X-Large, Color: White, Number of Items: 2
I bought one of these shirts to see if they’re as good as the customer reviews suggest. They most certainly are! They have a nice weight, a great fitting collar, and the shirts have a generous length so they stay tucked in. The sleeves are longer than normal tee shirts, which I really appreciate. These shirts are such high quality, and such an amazing bargain, that I bought four more!

This tee shirt has no side seams.
Size: X-Large, Color: True Navy, Number of Items: 1
This 100% cotton tee shirt is a nice weight & true color, sits close to neck. However, I planned to use this for my yoga class & put in some side slits for a better fit & there are none! Also, nothing in the description says what gender it is for, although the photo shows a guy. There was no contact info to call about this question. For some reason this never came up in my search for a cotton tee shirt & the only way I came across it was to google for a comparison for Life is Good shirts which are pricey. I won't be able to use it for yoga class.
