Mitjili Napurrula (c. 1945–2022) was a highly respected Warlpiri artist from the Northern Territory, best known for her bold and distinctive depictions of the Nulla Nulla (Desert Oak)—a powerful cultural symbol deeply embedded within her Country and identity.

Born in the remote Tanami Desert region, Mitjili spent her early life living traditionally, learning the stories, survival knowledge, and cultural responsibilities passed down through generations.
