The Noodlehead Poolside Tote is the perfect tote for anyone who wants to make a roomy tote bag and level up their sewing skills at the same time! This bag is perfect for the pool, beach or picnic. It can fit 3-4 beach towels along with a handful of other items. It has two pocket options, a zippered closure or a slip pocket (or you could do both - one on each side) and a key loop. 

Skills you will learn

• How to sew a zipper pocket to your lined bag
• How to sew webbing to your bag
• How to interface and line your bag
• How to sew an interesting facing detail to the interior of the bag

Skills expected: Advanced beginner sewing skills. If you've made a few simple bags like a tote or our clutch, you're good to go. 

Materials: We offer the webbing for the handles, zippers and interfacing in a materials kit.

If you decide not to get fabrics from us, you'll need: 

Requirements based on 44” wide fabric.

• Exterior fabric 1 1/4 yards mid weight fabric (1 yard if using 54’’ wide fabric)
• Lining fabric 1 1/4 yards (1 yard if using 54’’ wide fabric)
• Accent fabric (pocket lining) 3/4 yard
• Accent fabric (facing) 1/2 yard

You can get the rest of the materials in a kit here, which we will have ready for you at class. 

Materials provided: The poolside tote pattern, a sewing machine, coordinating thread, fabric shears, pins, marking tools, measuring tape, an iron, interfacing.
